The Dragon City Mobile app has a colorful, vibrant design and a layout that anyone can navigate. The main page shows your dragon world and will alert you to any dragons or buildings that need attention. From here you can also see what missions and quests need completing, as well as access fights. Battles are turn-based and require very little fighting skill, but lots of strategic knowledge. Before each turn players choose which power will be used against their opponent. The game also has an extensive tutorial system that helps new players understand the basics of the game.

Dragon City Mobile is known for its excellent performance and stability, with only occasional lagging. However, the game runs well on both iOS and Android devices. For logged-in players, progress can be saved in a cloud so they can move to a different device.
